From 1 July 2008, rules governing the calculation of superannuation contributions are changing. We have created a handy factsheet for employers that outlines the changes.
As expected, this year’s Budget contains no new or immediate changes to superannuation. However, some changes could affect how employers may pay superannuation contributions, individuals who Salary Sacrifice or salary package, and first home buyers. Read more in our Budget Update.
The Accountants Super Risk Profiler is now available. It can be accessed via the ‘Calculators’ option on the the ‘Member Information’ menu.
The Risk Profiler works on a scoring system where your total score is used to highlight which Accountants Super investment option has the same or similar risk profile.
Your Fund is governed by a Board of Trustee Directors - Professional Associations Superannuation Limited. An election is held for one of its three member representative positions every second year and the next election will take place this year.
Nominations for this election have now closed, and a process to determine whether nominees are "fit and proper" for the role, as defined by legislation, has commenced.
