Unclaimed Super

We want to stay in touch with you, and we make every effort to do so. However, if you reach age 65 and are eligible to claim your super, but we cannot contact you to arrange payment, then your super becomes unclaimed money and must be paid to the Australian Tax Office (ATO). This process is undertaken every six months.

Temporary Residents

If you are a temporary resident holding a class of visa (excludes Australian or New Zealand citizens, permanent residents of Australia or holders of a subclass 405 visa or a subclass 410 visa) conditions under which you can access to your super changed in April 2009.

If you have not claimed your super within 6 months of your visa expiring or being cancelled, the ATO may request that we transfer your money to them. If this occurs you are able to subsequently claim your money from the ATO.

We rely on relief provided by ASIC Class Order 09/437 that allows us not to provide you with an exit statement if we transfer your benefit in this way.  If you require more information please contact us on 1300 651 331.
